What do I do if my child is having a serious problem with a friend on Chat?

The vast majority of the time, if your child is unhappy with a chat conversation they are having with another child or sibling, simplying talking with them should sort things out.

However, your child might have reported, or perhaps you've discovered, a serious, persistent issue in their chat conversations with another child.

Examples might include:

  • abusive messages
  • personal information (like home addresses or phone numbers) being shared
  • typing in links to inappropriate websites
